Light Therapy
Illuminating treatments for optimal wellness
What is Light Therapy?
Light therapy (also known as photobiomodulation, or PBM) envelopes the body with LED light and near-length infrared waves to rev up cell production and regeneration, multiple layers below your skin’s surface. Mitochondria within our cells absorb these light waves, then transform that energy into power for your body via the creation of adenosine triphosphate (ATP). This process has multiple practical applications, from athletic recovery for tired muscles to skin renewal through the stimulation of collagen and elastin.
Various types of light therapy can be leveraged for different goals. Pure Hydration IV & Wellness Spa uses the NEO | Light bed, which can be programmed for red light therapy, blue light therapy, and green light therapy.
With its versatility and convenience, light therapy is a popular addition to any comprehensive wellness routine that gives your cellular system a natural boost.

FAQs
What is red light therapy?
Red Light Therapy works by delivering wavelengths of red and near-infrared light to the skin and underlying tissues. These specific wavelengths have been shown to penetrate the skin’s surface and reach the cells, where they interact with cellular components such as mitochondria. This interaction stimulates the production of adenosine triphosphate (ATP), the primary energy source for cellular processes.
The increase in ATP production leads to improved cellular function, regeneration, and repair, promoting overall healing and wellness. Red Light Therapy has also been associated with increased circulation, reduced inflammation, and enhanced collagen production, further supporting its beneficial effects on various health conditions.

How often is it recommended to receive a red-light treatment?
The frequency of red light therapy treatments depends on the individual’s specific needs and goals, as well as the severity of the condition being addressed. In general, it is recommended to start with multiple sessions per week, typically ranging from 2-5 sessions, for the initial weeks. This allows the body to adjust and respond to the therapy effectively.
As improvements are observed, the frequency of treatments can be reduced to a maintenance level, which may be anywhere from once a week to once a month. It is essential to work with a qualified professional to develop a personalized treatment plan, as individual needs and responses to red light therapy can vary.
