Cold Plunge

An invigorating immersion like no other

What is Cold Plunge?

Cold plunge, also known as deliberate cold exposure, is an invigorating form of therapy that uses chilled water to kickstart the body’s production and release of chemicals that affect energy, mood, and mental acuity. The practice of cold water immersion has existed for centuries; today, it appeals to everyone from professional athletes to “polar plunge” enthusiasts. This therapy is particularly helpful for relieving delayed onset muscle soreness, which can last up to three days following intense physical exertion. Dip in to our Blue Cube ice bath to experience immediate benefits like increased circulation and metabolism, accelerated athletic recovery, and decreased pain and inflammation.

FAQs

What is cold plunge?

A cold plunge is a therapeutic treatment that involves immersing the body in cold water, typically between 40-50 degrees Fahrenheit, for a short period of time. Cold plunges have been used for centuries as part of various wellness practices as a way to help reduce inflammation, improve circulation, boost the immune system, and aid in muscle recovery. The rapid cooling effect of the cold water is believed to stimulate the release of endorphins, which can help alleviate pain and promote a sense of well-being.

How often is it recommended to use a cold plunge?

The frequency of using a cold plunge varies depending on individual preferences, goals, and tolerance to cold exposure. Some people may benefit from using a cold plunge several times a week, while others may choose to use it less often or only after intense physical activities to aid in recovery. It’s generally a good idea to start with shorter durations and gradually increase the time spent in the cold plunge as your body adapts.
