NAD+

NAD+ is a coenzyme your body produces naturally — but levels drop significantly with age, stress, and metabolic demand. IV delivery is the most direct way to replenish it, bypassing digestion entirely and delivering the full dose straight into the bloodstream. Whether you’re focused on energy, mental clarity, recovery, or long-term cellular health, NAD+ is one of the most studied and clinically recognized tools in the longevity space.

NAD+ infusions are sought by patients dealing with a wide range of concerns — and the common thread is usually that they want their body running better at a foundational level. NAD+ is involved in how your cells produce energy, how your brain maintains focus and clarity, and how your body manages the daily wear of physical and metabolic stress. Patients dealing with persistent fatigue, mental fog, slow recovery, or a general sense that their body isn’t bouncing back the way it used to will often find NAD+ relevant to those patterns. It’s also one of the most well-researched protocols for patients investing in healthy aging and long-term cellular resilience. As with any protocol, the right approach depends on your goals, health history, and clinician guidance.

NAD+ IV therapy is generally well-tolerated when administered by a qualified clinical team, but there are a few things to know going in. The most common experience during the infusion is a feeling of pressure in the chest, mild nausea, or flushing — these sensations are normal and typically resolve immediately when the drip rate is slowed. Our nurses monitor you throughout and adjust as needed. NAD+ infusions are not appropriate for patients who are pregnant or breastfeeding, or those with active atrial fibrillation. If you have a complex cardiac history or are currently taking prescription medications, let your nurse know before your session — some situations require additional screening through our Medical Director before we proceed. Infection risk is minimal when proper IV technique is used, which our clinical team follows for every patient.

NAD+ is most commonly run as a twice-weekly protocol, with sessions spaced a few days apart to give your body time to integrate between visits. A monthly maintenance option is also available for patients who’ve completed an initial series and want to sustain their results over time. Most patients find that consistency matters more than frequency — showing up regularly on a schedule that works for your life tends to produce better long-term results than cramming sessions. Your provider will help you choose the right starting cadence based on your goals and how your body responds to the first few sessions.

NAD+ at Pure Hydration is administered as an IV infusion by one of our registered nurses in a private treatment suite. You’ll be comfortably reclined for the duration of the session — plan for 4 to 6 hours depending on your dose. The IV catheter is soft and flexible; the needle itself is removed immediately after placement. Most patients bring a laptop, book, or use the time to rest. For patients maintaining between full infusions, intramuscular NAD+ injections are available as a faster add-on option — those take 5 to 10 minutes and can be done as a standalone visit. Your exact dose and schedule will be confirmed with your provider based on your intake and goals.

NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) is a coenzyme found in every cell of the body, where it plays a central role in the mitochondrial process that converts nutrients into usable energy. It also activates a class of proteins called sirtuins, which are involved in DNA repair, gene expression, and the body’s response to cellular stress — pathways closely tied to how we age at the biological level. The brain relies heavily on NAD+ for neuronal function, which is why mental clarity and focus are among the most commonly reported areas patients notice. IV delivery works by bypassing the digestive system entirely, allowing the full dose to reach circulation directly — a meaningful advantage over oral NAD+ precursors, which lose a significant portion of their effect through the absorption process.
